'Simple Life 2' Begins Casting

http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...242|1|,00.html

(Monday, February 09 09:11 AM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - For the second season of FOX's reality hit "The Simple Life," Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are taking their show on the road. If you think you have what it takes to get outraged at their behavior, but to ultimately just roll your eyes and shake your head in disapproval, "The Simple Life" is looking for you.

Starting on Saturday, Feb. 14, in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona, the casting gurus at Bunim-Murray Productions will begin the audition process to find the perfect families to serve as speed bumps on Paris and Nicole's mad rush across the country. The show is looking for so-called "All-American families" to play host to the heiress and her bestest chum.

Casting and audition information is available at www.bunim-murray.com. Auditions will be ongoing throughout the month. Don't bother sending videotapes, though. The open call process is the only way to make it on the show, but if you happen to live in or around Brooksville, FL or Lafayette, LA, the casting crew is coming to your town.

A surprise smash for FOX this winter, "The Simple Life" averaged nearly 10.6 million viewers per episode. Those numbers are only for the show's originally scheduled six episodes, and do not include the countless reairings, specials and lost episodes that FOX used to bridge the gap between a disappointing fall and the beginning of "American Idol."

Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Yeah, I really don't want to watch those two again. They should have casted two new celebrities instead of just shipping them off somewhere.

I think I got enough the first time. If they actually do work, then I will watch.

Yeah, the first couple of episodes were quite funny, because they were working at jobs that they had no skills in. Towards the end, they just started to become mean and belligerant. But America will watch them in SL2, whatever they do.

I know we had discussed in the beginning about Nicole Richie being Lionel's daughter. I don't know if anybody mentioned it then, but I read in a June 2003 magazine that she was an adopted daughter. So that is why she is lighter skin that Lionel.

What the hell are you talking about, a lot of white couples have black children and some black couples have white children. How that happen is another story.

I want to see these 2 snotty rich bitches live in an Asian family. Man, that would be hilarious. "Get out of my house, bitch. No fly lice for you!"

No, I understand that. What I was trying to say, is that I had never heard before that she was adopted. But that also explains why she doesn't look black!

They need to put Paris and Nicole with an Asian family in the middle of a prodominently Asian community.

They should be dumped down in rural Texas, at the estate of the clan from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

How about dropping them somewhere in East Asia and tell them to hitch a ride back to LA?
