I think these Sports Forum threads are archive-worthy. Sometimes its fun to go back and relive championship moments.

I think his question though was not what caused a thread to be archived, but what caused one to be removed (see references to banned content).
If specifically you are asking about a particular thread in Other that was discussing automotive fuel, the thread starter deleted his own thread. If you delete the first post in a thread, the entire thread is deleted.
