need help, not sure if my problem is TV or DVD player.

I apologize before hand if there is a thread on this.

I have an ISF Callibrated Samsung SLK407W, and My DVD player is a Pioneer DV 444 with Acoustic Research Component cables.

My problem is that when watching some DVD's, towards the middle- upper left corner, sometimes the blacks are a shade of purple. This only happens when watching dvd's, and am not sure if the problem is the player, wires, or the TV. Does anyone have any suggestions, or ideas?

Thank You

Could be the wires between the player and TV picking up something. I've had wires cause some coloring effects due to where they were placed.
