Seeing that the NBA all star game is in town and I couldn't get any tickets for the games, the only event avaiable is the 'Jam Session' at the Convention Center.
This event appears somewhat gimmicky to me but its not every year that the NBA All-Star weekend comes to town and this is the closest I may ever get.

I just want to know what you guys think of it if you have attended an All-Star Jam Session?

Thanks

I was at it when it was here in 'Sota. It moved really slow. The dunk contest was decent (thats the year Rider won).

I guess if you can get free tickets (like i did), its worth your time, but I wouldn't . The one problem this year is there really aren't any big names competing.

Just my $.02

I am guessing you mean the jam session that is separate from any of the games and dunk contests..

When it was in Oakland, I volunteered to run some of the games. IMO, its not worth going unless you are taking kids under the age of 15. They even tried to trick the volunteers into going outside the tent to 'sign out' after their shifts were done, only to not let them back in without paying -rolleyes- Needless to say as we were walking toward the exits, a couple of us ditched the group and spent some time inside. I had to kill some time before the rookie game started...

Hmm.. I'm going on Friday. Figure I'd take a look around.. I liked the Wrestlmenia FanFest and hope it'll be the same fun experience. :)

Things that were pretty fun..

-doing a 360 dunk on the 9.5 foot rims (shorter ones for the El Scorchos of the world) and wooing the 20 people watching.
-getting free basketball cards, and one made of me.
-meeting several players that were just enjoying the festivities with their kids (terry porter, brian shaw, ...) just shook their hands and said hello. didn't ask for autographs as they were on family time.
