Everytime I hear this guy on Sportscenter or elsewhere, he comes off as totally clueless.

He is worse than Peter Vescey. Many times I hear him I think "Do you know what the hell you are talking about"?

here's his usual commentary:

Philly blah blah Philly blah Philly blah 76ers blah 76ers blah blah Philly blah Iverson blah Philly blah A.I.

I know he's a Philly guy but geez, expand your horizons a little.

I'll usually leave the channel on when he appears. Does this mean I like him?....I dont know.

He may be more annoying because you have to listen to him for a whole game, but I think Walton has more knowledge than Smith.

I've noticed he's always negative about whatever he's talking about, he never seems to have anything good to say about anything...

No, he says good things sometimes. But he says them in that incessant whining voice of his so that unless you're paying close attention, they sound like they're bad things.

"KG is just such a phenomonal player, You can't guard him." - sounds like praise, right? But when Walton says it, unless you're really paying attention, you'd think KG just stole Walton's lunch money and Bill is telling the recess lady.

Smith is probably the worst in studio guy I can think of. Clueless doesn't even begin to describe this jerk. He is one of these guys that built his whole career on talking a bunch of junk to piss people off whether it makes sense or not.

What an amazing resemblance:

That's because it *was* god awful.

I don't see him on TV that much, but he writes some very good articles. You can't really bash his whole career because you think he's bad in studio. He made his career off writing, not studio commentary.

I thought Steve Kerr was pretty bad with his stint on Yahoo Sports. I guess they don't use him now.

They still use Kerr. I just read one of his recent articles.

The worst ever? CHARLIE ROSEN. He was apparantly dropped by ESPN last year. Don't know why but its probably because a good 50% of his articles were wrong. No, not just bad, but wrong.

Smith tries to act all hard and it ends up just getting annoying.

Smith is beyond annoying on air. I'd take Walton anytime over him. Walton says stupid stuff sometimes on purpose to get a rise out of people. Half the time he's just joking and people take it too seriously. Like the Van Horn mention above.

"Vladimir Radmanovic.....he looks like a Greek God. It's as if he were carved out of stone by Michelangelo".

People who don't like Walton should really lighten up. Sure, he's wrong half the time but the stuff he says is simply priceless.

Today is officially the worst day of the Dan Patrick show in history on ESPN Radio and it's only 3 minutes old.

Guess who's hosting.....ugh

He's on tomorrow too. I caught that during one of his 37 announcements that it was Stephen A. Smith.

So far he hasn't been tooooooooo bad but I wish Dibs would host the show during Dan's absences and then whoever be the sidekick.
