Smallville --- 02/04/04

Great episode tonight. For once, someone with special powers wasn't an enemy. The best part was when he saw Clark's future and all he saw was the famous red cape. Makes me wonder how they are going to finish this TV series....are they going to actually show him flying?

The ending....whoa.

Probably nothing serious though. People survive MIs.

And what's up with next week's episode? Fast and Furious.

I think the final shot of the show will be him flying over Metropolis. But i hope thats a few years down the line.

Another great episode. Next week's scenes looked kinda stupid though. After such a great cliffhanger it looks like the subject of his dad is completely dropped, its not even mentioned in the TV guide summary. They probably just brush it under the rug before the theme song starts.

The adam thing needs to move a little faster.

Also, Great conversation between Clark and his Mom about Clark using his powers to change destiny, and then she mentions Lex. Makes me think back to the Blind old lady that could see the future, and she saw lex just causing death. I had never really thought about Clark being partly responsible for all the stuff that Lex does later on in life now.

Yeah I know that, but I didn't think they would do it so soon?

I don't know, I didn't care for Spy Kids and I doubt I'll care for the sequel.

I wished they would have shown us what Jordan saw when he bumped into Adam.

Could these new drugs help Adam develop his physical prowess (should he grow up to be a dark knight...)? I know purists wouldn't want a juiced up dark knight, so it's just mild speculation.

Wonder what else Chloe found out about Adam in her digging.

Much better episode than last weeks. Loved the cape glimpse into space. Cool stuff.

1 question:

Was that future Clark standing over future Lana when she passed away in bed?

I thought Superman brings him back from the dead after the events of Doomsday? Or did he go "urk" again in the books recently?

I thought Clark's parents survived in the "reboot" from 1986.

Oh, anyone noticing this annoying trend with WB shows now? Since Charmed started this "Trend episode" phase earlier this year, now every dramatic series is including this? The ad for next week was what, Octane or something stupid like that?

They did, but after Superman died from Doomsday Pa Kent suffers a heart attack and dies. Somehow he and Superman meet in some dimentional phase or something (never understood that part) and helped Superman regain his body.

Good episode. Like to see what's going on with Adam who is good at everything. Is he a meteor mutant too?

I hope Clark's dad doesn't die. Not sure how Clark can go on without his dad.

Since 1986 when Supeman was "Relaunched" Pa Kent has been alive and kicking ever since....He is currently just fine as well as Ma Kent.....In the days before 1986....Pa Kent died when Clark was a teenager....considering Jeph Loeb is consulting on Smallville I doubt they kill off Pa Kent.... Also, that would certainly NOT be Clark at Lana's side if any continuity is followed at all. When we saw Lex's future a few seasons ago they even showed him being President as he currently is in the comics.....

If by "continuity" you mean that Clark ends up with Lois Lane rather than Lana, so that can't be Clark, then I disagree. Clark would certainly visit an old friend at the end of her life.

But if by "continuity" you mean that Clark won't be an old man when Lana is old, then I think you're on to something. Clark's powers will eventually slow his aging process. Even Jornan says he doesn't die.

The glimpse of the Superman cape =

SV really isn't a very good show, but I keep watching week after week just for moments like that one.

Unless the actor is leaving the series, then Pa Kent will be fine.
