NFL Films Super Bowl Collection I-X???
I was just wanting to confirm one way or another, does this DVD compilation only highlight certain moments of Super Bowls I-X or does it show the actual broadcast minute by minute??? I looked for a while but I was not able to find it from any previous postings.

It is the 30 minute NFL Films highlights that air on ESPN around the time of the Super Bowl every year. They also include 30 minute NFL Films season recaps and some extra features relating to players in that years Super Bowl (featurettes that last around 3-5 minutes each). I am borrowing it from a friend right now and it isn't bad but not worth the price ($50 - $60).

I think it's pretty durn cool as well. Frankly, I don't need to see every incomplete pass, 1 yd. gain up the middle and punt to enjoy it. NFL Films does a good job of keeping the momentum of the game even without all the plays.

Plus, the great thing about NFL Films productions is that they put a near players and on coaches and give so much more insight to the game than you're ever given on a telecast. Its more on the sights and sounds of the game with a focus on key events than two idiot broacasters blathering on and on.

I think the obvious question here is "Why aren't these games available in their complete forms?" The NFL is the biggest pro sports league in the U.S. and I think there would be a market for these, especially if they were from NFL films. You could count on me to get the four Steelers Super Bowl victories.

So since its I-X, does that mean I have to wait two more years for XXX-XL?
And yeah, even though my Panthers lost, I would pay for a 2-DVD set of the entire Superbowl broadcast this year, presented in 1.78:1 widescreen
. I know there will be a Superbowl DVD coming out soon, but I dont think its the broadcast is it? Its just a "The Patriots are great, all hail the Patriots" type feature?

More people would buy a collection of highlights and bonus features than would buy just one Super Bowl. I am a major NFL fan, and I have no desire to own complete super bowls from every game, but I'd like to have the highlight reels.

I disagree. I too wouldn't want every Super Bowl, but there are four that I would definitely want. I gotta think a lot of Cowboy, Packer, Raider, Patriot, Niner, etc. fans would feel the same way.

I bought this set and loved it so much I got another copy for my father. I would love to have the complete broadcasts of evry game but I'm afraid this is all we are gonna get for now. In case anyone is interested the Sam's locally near me had these for sale for only $42.00. Now that's a real bargain!
