Can we ban polls in the movie forum?

I know that polls are a good way to see what the people think but it is really getting out of hand in the movie forum. Today there was ten polls on the first page. Best Costner film, best dancing film, best musical pre-1970, best musical post-1970......etc. Cant we do something?

While I don't think we should ban polls all together, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for us to tell smirnoffski to tone it down and perhaps only do 1 poll per week

First they came for the polls, and I did not speak out -- because I did not post polls.

Then they came for the "does _____ have an insert?" threads, and I did not speak out -- because I did not care about inserts.

Then they came for the "Caption This" threads, and I did not speak out -- because I did not like posting captions to everyday pictures.

Then they came for the threads I posted -- and there was no one left to speak out for me. Makes ya think, people.

I'm wondering where the BEST musical of 1970? poll is. I only see before and after 1970 ones and I'm afraid we'll be missing some valuable information.

yes, please please please reign in smrinoffski, or at least get him off the vodka....can't you just lock them all? that'd be a pretty clear message....How about limiting each user to one poll per week?
