Samsung DVD-R4000 Remote Question
I just bought a Samsung DVD-R4000 as an opened item and I need to buy a remote. I am trying to find a model number for the remote. 1800remotes wants $99 and I think I could find it cheaper if I had the part number. If any of you have this remote (or know of a good resource) I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks

Not sure if this any help, but the Samsung remote pictured HERE
looks identical to the one I have for the Panasonic E-30 recorder as seen HERE
edit1800remotes won't let me link. So enter e30 in the search and click on one of the Panasonics DMRE30 listed to see the picture of the remote.
The #'s on my remote are:
EUR7615KJ0 -( the last # may be an "oh" or Zero, I can't tell.)
which is the same number given for the remote at samsungparts.com

That definitely helps. So it seems that the Panasonic remote costs $39 while the samsung version cost $99. I wonder if they function the same. Logic says they must... since samsungparts is offering it, but with such a difference in price I am a little concerned.
Any idea why one would cost so much more than the other?

I have no idea on the price difference, hell I couldn't venture a guess.
If it makes you feel any better, the e30 remote is able to control my e80, which uses a completely different remote. Also, taking a quick glance at the 4000's manual, I noticed that everything looks like the e30 in terms of setup and menus, et al. I had read that the 4000 would be similar to the e30/50 except for a few cosmetic differences, so based on all this I would believe that the EUR7615KJ0 would work on the Samsung.
1800remotes looks to have a good return policy, so it seems like a safe chance.
Good Luck.

I also own the Samsung and it is identical to the Panasonic E-50. Other than a few cosmetic changes, it is the same machine with all the same features. Even the manual is identical. If you can get a remote for the E-50, you should be all set. My Samsung remote automatically works my Panasonic F-65 DVD player.
