Dude, I can't believe you don't have... part two

I went to three of my local dvd haunts today, an extra $500 in hand from taxes, and couldn't find anything I wanted to buy. I decided that I should get off my butt and input my collection online and get some insight.

Please check out my collection and make me some suggestions.

i noticed that you have both futurama seasons but you don't have any of the simpsons season dvd sets which were made by the same guy

also i noticed that you had red vs blue season 1

was that actually on the site? or did you have to upload your own scans of the covers?

I think you have the quintessential dvd collection. No need to add anything.

Just took a quick gander:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons 1-5.
With $500.00 and a lot of time you would be in for some awesome television.

man, my 500 would be shot on-line in less than 5 minutes...just on imports.

try these....I think they fit you. trust me.

Assault On Precinct 13-John C.
The Thing(CE)-John C.
The Last American Virgin
Millers Crossing
1941
Once Upon a Time In the West
Once Upon a Time In America
Bad Lieutenant(NC-17 version)

...and maybe snag an all-region player and score:

Army Of Darkness-R3 release
They Live-R2 release

....if you dont mind double-dipping.

You've got a lot of comedy, including The Big Lebowski. Some more Coen Brothers overt comedy films, like O Brother, Where Art Thou and Raising Arizona might be up your alley.

Hmmm...you have several National Lampoon DVD's so
why not purchase and add the Christmas Vacation DVD to the
collection? And that way you would also have your first
Christmas season DVD.

How about mine? I could use some suggestions, as my 'want list' is growing smaller by the day.

flashburn --

You look like you could use some Altman. Try NASHVILLE, THE LONG GOODBYE, and M*A*S*H to start. Also, if you like Friedkin, try SORCERER.

flashburn- you have Black Sheep and Tommy Boy but
not Beverly Hills Ninja! I think B.H.N. was Chris Farley's
best movie. Also, I only have a copy of this on VHS, but
The Seventh Seal(1957) Criterion looks like a cool thing to
get into your collection.

I would suggest adding some Criterion DVD's to your collection to broaden your scope on some foreign films that still have the same kind of genre that you are interested in. Judging from your list I would definetly reccomend some Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai) and perhaps Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Goodluck with your collection!

Got these today,

Beetlejuice
Being John Malcovich
Blue Velvet
Bottle Rocket
Equilibrium
Mute Witness
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Peggy Sue Got Married
Raising Arizona

Forgot to add because it was loaned out- Run Ronnie Run

Thanks, for the suggestions. Keep them coming.

-----

Flashburn, I would recommend anything on my list except for Cabin Boy. The worst movie/Christmas present ever, but I still love/hate it.
