Cheswick brought in the funny.
Lloyd brought in the sappy drama.
Shirley brought in the reach for the brass ring (or Tobey).
Stella brought in Warren to surprise Carol inadvertently.
Carol brought in the judgment and self-centeredness.
Nancy brought in a new pregnancy.
Mike brought in the cooties.
Ed brought in tears and frustration.
Phil brought in ... his usual Philness.

First episode (IMHO) this season that seemed to be firing on all cylinders. Too bad it'll probably be broomed to make room for "My Big Fat Castaway Celebrity Average Joe" next fall.
Man, network TV sucks these days.

After what happened with Karen Sisco [and tonight's tagline for next week's ep], I really don't understand what's with the questions about its cancellation...
That tagline tonight ALL but nailed the coffin shut.
[mind you, I don't want it to end...but let's realize what we're dealing with here]

I really enjoyed that episode. Nice to see Dr. Jarome and Warren back in an episode (haven't seen all that much of them this season). It saddens me to see it end after only four seasons, but hopefully it'll have a classy exit.

Well, I may be in the minority, but I think Ed has pretty much run its course. Some shows just aren't meant to go on for 9 seasons (not even Friends) and better to go out strong than to drag it out and slowly lose viewers.

That was the best all-around ep in a long while.
Warren and Stella were great. And I was dying when Carol kept repeating, "he grabbed my ass."
Dr. Jerome brought the funny when he was examining the Burtons towards the end of the show. Mike and Nancy were great, too, as they competed to see who the sickest person was.
Huh, I just realized Eli was nowhere to be found - oh, darn.
Loved the ep - it was a great send-off for a lot of the memorable cast members.

Very good episode
Warren getting in the shower with Carol was great.
The Dr Jerome scenes with the Butons were very funny.
Next week
Maybe since Ed's a lawyer they can change the title to Law & Order:Ed and get as many years as they want from NBC.

The Burtons are great. Loved the thermometer in the oatmeal!
This show will be missed...

I just got an e-mail from NBC talking about all of their big February episodes, and they included a talk about ED and the wedding, making a note to say that it was only the season finale. With all the advertisements saying the last ED, I really don't know what to think.

From www.tvguide.com
NO TIME TO SPARE: NBC has been touting Friday's wedding-themed Ed as the show's "final" episode — and for once it seems the Peacock's promo department is telling it like it is. "It's been a terrific run, but the odds are this is its final season," NBC entertainment president Jeff Zucker tells TV Guide Online. Although Zucker adds there's a small chance the 4-year-old dramedy could return next season — "We're going to leave ourselves a little flexibility for when we put the schedule together in May" — he confirms that the show's actors have been given the green light to pursue other work.
