Bought a new computer - which game to buy?

I just bought a great new computer, and I can basically play anything on the market right now. Can you guys name ONE game I simply MUST buy?

I'm leaning towards SW:KOTOR (mostly b/c I liked the Tales of the Jedi comics and there's good word of mouth about this game), but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks!

It would help to know what kinds of games you like, but I'll suggest a few...

Mafia
Call of Duty
Homeworld 2

Yeah it would help to know what games you like, FPS, strategy, RPG.

You seem to be a star wars fan, I would say try KOTOR as I have heard good things about, though have never played it. Don't get Star Wars Galaxies.

I would pick Warcraft III if you enjoy strategy games at all.

For FPS shooters, Half Life 2 might be out soon? Would be the first game that comes to mind to really show off your new system.

I'll second Medal of Honor: Allies Assault. Diablo II is one of my all-time favorites.

Half Life 2 won't be out for months, so don't even worry about that

I'd recommend Call of Duty.

I think it would be between these:

KOTOR
Warcraft 3
Max Payne 2
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Homeworld 2
Halo
Call of Duty (based on the Q3 engine though, so don't expect the best graphics, but the gameplay is great)

I'd recommend Half Life since with all the mods for it, you are really getting 10 games. Plus it's cheap.

Call of Duty is an excellent FPS
Max Payne 2 is great (still playing it)
Rise of Nations is a very fun RTS
I also have KotOR (thanks Target!) but haven't started yet

Diablo II. It's an older game, but you can try it if you want to get sucked away for months on end. The new 1.10 patch has been an interesting change of pace.

Must...make...comment...but...won't...derail...thread...

It's pretty difficult to give you advice on PC Games since you don't list the type of games you like. It seems kinda strange that you bought a great new computer that can play any game on the market, and now don't know what you want to play!

I enjoyed:

Battlefield 1942
Medal of Honor series
Mafia

... and keep an eye out for Duke Nukem Forever.

Action game of the year...

....has been Call of Duty. Get it because the single player is quite intense and very immersive. Multiplayer is fun too since I find that players in some (quite a few actually) servers are mature in the way they play without calling anyone a N00b or a cheat.
