G.I. Joe Season 1 Part 1 DVD review *56k*
Wow. Just.......wow. I never thought I would be reliving my childhood like this. G.I. Joe on DVD and in 5.1 surround sound. Rhino has really outdone themselves with this release. I used to watch G.I. Joe everyday after school so I had to pick this up today. $50 was a little steep just for Part 1 of the 1st Season but I had faith and I was not disappointed!!
I cannot stress enough how cool it is to hear these episodes in 5.1!!! It sounds really good!!!!!
The DVD starts off with this funny FBI warning....
Then the G.I. Joe menus start up with some nice looking CGI and in full 5.1 surround sound!!
Main menu
Audio Setup
Episode Selection
Episode Menu
G.I. Joe intro - The video quality is very nice!!
Each episode even includes the "Will return" and "Now back to" messages before and after the commercial breaks when it was on TV.
Random screenshots from the 1st episode
Definately worth a purchase if you were a fan as a kid!!

I picked this up on Tuesday, was worth the $35 I spent for it.
It's amazing the references I'm picking up on now, that I didn't when I was a kid.
SpaceBoy, there were 2 Mini-series, then season 1 (with 55 Episodes), and a second season (with 30 episodes).
Can't wait for part 2 (which is slated for April)
Only problems with this set (which might be nitpicking):
Outside of Pyramid Of Darkness 5 parter, most (I think all) the episodes have the intro from season 2 (featuring Serpentor and many characters/vehicles from 1986).
There are a few typos on the booklet, and I don't think I have to go into how AWFUL the packaging is.
