Hi Harry,
I am sure you were watching the Golden Globes last night. But perhaps you missed the arrivals show with (the despicable) Joan Rivers. Well, she interviewed Ellen Burstyn and when asked what her next project would be, replied that she would be playing a role in Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain to begin filming this fall. I know that they just sold off all the sets and also that Cate Blanchett will be making a movie called Little Fish in Australia at about that time. But, just in case you missed it, those were the words from Ellen Burstyn.

I could be wrong on this, but didn't it go from the Pitt high of 100 mil to the Jackman reality of 40 mil?

According to Upcomingmovies.com, it's budget was originally $70 Million back in 2002, but then that fell apart, and when the movie was restarted in 2004 it had a $35-40 Million budget.

Thought I'd revive a thread on this movie. Filming has wrapped but no official release date yet...

Anyone heard any advance opinion on how it turned out? Apparently it's fairly weird stuff...

I've been waiting to see this movie for what seems like FOREVER - apparently it's done - I'd imagine that it'll see release around September/October. It'll be interesting to see what he does with a decent-sized budget. Anyone know if his episode of Lost has been filmed yet?
