Aside from the white bar of pointless drivel, I don't have a problem with it.

Except for the white bar, what bothers you?

Me too. I blind bought it/preordered it as my fullfillment in CH.

Always meant to see it in the theatres, but missed it.

Looking forward to its arrival!

You know, I was going to come into this thread and say "Shut up and stop whinning and enjoy the movie for what's on the disc" but after seeing the picture.. MY GOD THAT THING IS AWFUL.

the white bar is god awful. and well, it's just bad over all. Soffia didn't have any say on this?

Personally, I'll be looking forward to a scarlett custom cover with the alternative poster picture.

Honestly, the white bar at the top is annoying, but it's the font they used for the title that bothers me more than anything. Just looks... bad. I've gotten accustomed to the one used on the above poster.

I hate that they changed the font. Doesn't matter much, I'd buy it in a paper bag; no case. I just want my number one movie of the year!

I have that Scarlett poster. One of my favorites.

That is one dull DVD cover. The only way to make the cover
more boring would be give us a pic with Bill asleep on the bed.

Obviously they were going for star recognition on this one.

Unfortunately, by shooting for the starstruck, they lose some of the cinematic integrity (and that white bar is horrible), but, in all honesty, the reason I blind bought this film (aside from the reviews) was Bill Murray, no one else.

The DVD cover art basically is the original poster:

Just chopped up, crapped on and then set on fire.

the text font also doesn't add anything. I love the posters font but I HATE the dvd cover one.

I'm expecting a lot of discussion in movie talk come next tuesday night by folks who didn't either

A.) Get the film
B.) Like it

this one is a great film and on my top five films of last year but it is not for everyone.

Same here. I'm only buying it for the movie, not the cover.

I would have liked the following image:

... or the cover of RES magazine that had Scarlett on the cover.

The white bar is bad, but the type is HORRIBLE. What were they thinking?! Whats with the huge white borders, and the thick uppercase lettering?! The font used on the posters and other promotional material is the same thing as a logo is to a company.. why in hell would they so badly ruin this 'logo'?

I can't understand it. I would like to know the specs for the Canadian version if anyone knows...

Hell, if they were going to go the route of putting critical praise they might as well used this:

Atleast it doesn't ruin the over all picture like this cover does.
