It opened in U.S. theatres on 10/10/03 and played until at least 11/9/03 bringing in over $10 million.

I can't believe it has DTS. I heard this movie was SOOO bad, but I'm debating renting it just to "see for myself." Did anyone here actually like the film? If so, can you tell my anything about it?

Yeah, I read the review. I was just wanting some random opinions about the film.

DVDtalk's review is kinda positive, actually. Most reviews say it's SO bad it can only be intentional.

It's a pity they couldn't stay true to the setting of the games (esp HOD2). That would've been amazing. I wonder... if they had gone to Prague or Romania or some other Eastern European country with atmospheric architecture & low cost, got a hungry creature effects team with something to prove, would they've been able to pull it off? Instead they just did some crap that barely matched the games.

I've never winced so many times while watching a movie. It wasn't because of the gore either.

I didnt know it came out already. I saw a preview of this movie last week in the theatres and saw the trailer on Apple's site a few days ago. Weird.

Maybe you are confusing it with Resident Evil (2) Apocalypse or whatever it's called. This had alot of tv ads for about 2 weeks when it was released so you had to have seen them. And I think RE2 commercials just started popping up.
