When the Padres lost the World Series. I was Operations Manager for a trucking company and had to work the entire day in drag. It was funny interviewing new drivers and have them just stare blankly at me during the entire interview.

The gay/les/bi/etc group at my college used to sponsor a dance where you had to go cross-dressed. But I'm a girl, so it's really not that "OMG!" if I dress like a boy, now, is it? ;-)

Yep, not by choice though. Back when I was around 10 or something my older brother forced me to dress up like a girl and walk around my neighborhood. This all happened when he was babysitting me....bastard!

Well, my gf at the time cut me off until I tried on a pair of her panties. Naturally, being a guy, we will do nearly anything in order to "get some." I caved rather quickly.

I played a mid-sixties fat woman in a play once.
It was really funny when I met some of the audience afterwards, listening to some of the comments.
"See! I told you she was a dude!"
I must say though, make-up is GREAT. Not a blemish on my face... and my eyes never sparkled like they did those eye-shadowed and mascara'd nights... ;)

Actually, IIRC, statistically cross-dressing is higher among heterosexuals than homosexuals. It is not a "gay" thing.

Actually, if you are a cross-dresser (or transvestite), you are usually hetero. Gay transvestites are drag queens.

Thank you Xander:)
Also people should realize that crossdressing is not a 'gay thing'. Besides women can crossdress all the time & no one thinks anything of it. Guys can do the same thing & yep some can look dam good if they put enough effort into it. Thus people should just loosen up & forget the whole gender segregation thing with clothes & dress in whatever makes them comfortable.

I did once in eighth grade for 'spirit week' or some such crap for Homecoming. And once for some Reverse Sex Day garbage when I was a counsellor at a Christian Youth Camp. That's it, though. I looked damn good, too.
I guess I'd do it anytime everyone else would. I'm a follower.

I did for one Halloween.
I went as a Geisha. Got the wig and put chopsticks through the bunin the back. Had the robe. Also painted my face white, as all the pictures I've seen of Geishas their faces were all very pale/white.
Was a pretty easy costume to pull off and got some compliments as well.
It helped that a friend was dressed up as a samurai, so the two costumes kind of went together.

yeah - when I was little... I was an ugly woman. Once I started dating, I never did it again. It always felt shameful, but it never made me feel gay. I never understood how people could associate clothing with sexual preference. *shrug*
What about wearing "unisex" clothes? Does that make you bi? an amoeba?

Once in high school for a Homecoming Queen parody (I also wore a peg-leg thing to make it all the more attractive), and once in the Air Force for a fake greeting for a new officer where everybody was something they normally were not.

Although I gave it up many years ago (about 11 years ago), I am the ever-reighning Miss Big & Beautiful Metropolis (in the Cleveland area).
I used to do drag occasionally for benefits, fundraisers, and such..but it never became a big part of my life. I just got sick of the politics and got out of it. The extra spending money (from tips) was pretty cool though!

The theme of my high school junior dance was Jerry Springer. I suggested to my date that we cross-dress, and she agreed. I wore a skirt, a T-shirt, a no-sleeve vest ... and plenty of mascara and lipstick, as applied by my date. Being a high school nerd, I surprised quite a few people.
