WHERE Do YOU Purchase your DVDs?
Okay, I realize that this is an age-old debate, but I have heard so much back and forth, that I would be interested to know what the company line is between all of us.
Personally, my breakdown is:
40% of them at DDD
20% Wal-Mart
20% BB B&M
10% BB.Com
7% DVD Planet B&M
3% eBay
In the last 6 months, it has been primarily DDD, but overall, it is the above.

I am going to start researching CH through this forum, as it looks pretty interesting.
Back in the day, I was a member of CH for VHS

For new releases I go to Best Buy.
Catalog titles are from Deep Discount (as long as I'm not in a mad hurry to get them).
Criterions are from DVD Planet (thanks to the 35% discount and free shipping over $25).
I also use Columbia House, though not to the extent of some of the folks on this forum.

It depends, If a DVD is a new release, I am most likely to pick it up from Target or Best Buy.
But if a disc has been out for a while and I want the lowest price, I go to Costco. Since they don't have the greatest selection, I will check Fry's and CC next.
(BB probably has the highest non-sale prices!)
But this is now it usually breaks down:
30% Fry's
20% Circuit City
20% Best Buy
10% Costco
10% Target
10% Other (mostly online trades)

My purchasing has changed dramatically over the years. From the early days I used to be fairly exclusively between Ken Cranes and DVD Express and probably 50% off my current collection was purchased from there. Then I switched to DVD Empire for many years and I would estimate 40% of collection is from them and still purchase occassionally from there until finding DVD Pacific recently and now use them for probably 95% of current purchases but that would equate to maybe 5% of collection to date.

All of my anime DVDs (60%+ of my collection) are purchased from RightStuf.COM. The rest are purchased from either Amazon.COM or DeepDiscountDVD.COM. Which is based on price since sometimes Amazon.COM is cheaper after ShareTheLove is taken into account.

B/C of the FS, it is exactly like buying in the store, regarding price, and that is hard to beat.
