Must say, Ben Stiller has another hit on his hands a la "Meet the Parents". It's more of the same - Stiller in countless uncomfortable situations, pining for a woman.

Jennifer Aniston is really good, and fits the part nicely. It's just a really good date movie, and I think it's one that EVERYONE will like quite a bit.

was there any scenes when it didn't look like aniston was cold?

surprisingly, the only nipple shots you see are the ones in the preview (dancing).

She did a really good job, and there will definitely be life for her after "Friends".

I thought the movie was bad. It was very unfunny. The only two people in the movie that I made any connection with was Phillip Seymor Hoffman and Jennifer Aniston. Other then that the movie didn't really make me laugh. Totally forgetable

It's a paint-by-numbers romantic comedy that never extends past its comfort zone, and just lets Ben Stiller and Phillip Seymour Hoffman chew up scenery to provide the laughs to string along a flimsy plotline that does little to evoke much investment in the principal characters in the film. There was some big laughs, but overall, the story is average and is pretty forgettable.

I give it 2 stars, or a grade of C.

i thought it was a funny flick...especially when playing basketball and Sandy kept shouting stuff like "WHITE CHOCOLATE WITH A TWIST" and bricking a lay-up...but the funniest hing was when i watching the trailers and after one ended a guy said thats your birthday present...and his friend s next to him said "just get me a bag of shit"...just unexpected

What's with Ben Stiller? He used to be hilarious. Now he's just plodding along doing these weird movies that are a cross between gross-out comedies and romantic comedies.

I hate romantic comedies, but I'm a pretty big Stiller fan & though the movie was VERY typcial, cliched, etc etc, it did have some VERY funny moments so the movie works. I don't know why people are bashing this movie, it is what it is.

Phillip Seymore WHO I CANNOT STAND had some really funny lines & scenes although I felt very much like he was trying to be and/or rip-off Jack Black in the movie. But his "sharted" line alone, made the entire movie worth while.

Aniston was INSANELY hot in the movie, but even though it's a stupid comedy, what ruins the movie for me is there is NO WAY her character in real life would fall for someone like Stiller, especially after what happened on their first date.

Also, I though Hank Azaria was great in the movie.

It was a good comedy & I though had some hysterical scenes.

Completely pointless, and nothing we have not seen before.

When did Hank Azaria get all buff like that?

" We gotta go, I Sharted. " Phillip Seymor Hoffman, once again is his usual greatness. I would love to see a movie with Jack Black & P.S. Hoffman.

Did he? Other than in his short-lived TV show, I can't ever recall him being funny. He could have been replaced in TSAM by several other actors and the film still would have been just as funny. His films since, including Meet the Parents, have been disasters.

I loved Meet The Parents, Loved Royal Tennenbaums and TSAMary was really great. I even like Zoolander, though I would never claim that it was a great movie.

I could not get interested in going to see Duplex, and Polly was just tripe.

So as far as I am concerned, Stiller has had only two strikes, hopefully Starsky and Hutch is not his third.

OK, for the record, I loved Tennenbaums as well. Let me correct my statement above to only include films in which Stiller was the/a lead.

Just got back from seeing Along Came Polly, and I really liked it. It was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. Both Aniston and Stiller were hilarious, as were Azaria and Hoffman in their supporting roles. Another plus was that Aniston looked hot in every scene she appeared in. I will give Along Came Polly a B-.

Just got back from seeing it.

Nothing that hasn't been said, by the numbers romantic comedy with Stiller in awkward situations.

Not much mention of Alec Baldwin who I thought stole a lot of the movie as Stiller's boss. The slap in the bathroom, the end of the wedding toast....his delivery was right on.

My wife and I both said the same thing as we left the movie theatres .. that Phillip Seymore based this role entirely on his impression of Jack Black.

In an interview with Jay Leno, he said that he did it specifically for this movie.

I didn't care for it... I really like Stiller, but it just seems that all they ever do is put him in some uncomfortable situation involving a bathroom. Also - no offense to any Aniston lovers here, but I kinda think she's a bit man-ish.

PSH and Baldwin were the only reasons to see this movie. They were ****ing hilarious!

the rest of it was forgettable.

yup.... philip & alec were great. They had the best scenes.

The movie... kind of like meet the parents leftovers.
The films message and storytelling was hitting you over the head with a hammer annoying. Too obvious and tired.

Aniston just wasn't up to snuff. Not much chemistry between stiller and her to care. The movie was called along came polly.
I just didn't see enough to care about polly to keep interest.
She wasn't the wacky and life altering kind of chick the movie wants you to believe.

I am glad I saw the movie. Hoffman & baldwin were worth it.

**1/2 out of ****

Along Came Polly is one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Aniston and Stiller were hilarious, as was the whole supporting cast. It had some real funny scenes throughout, and Aniston looked absolutely beautiful.

Just curious, but your real name wouldn't happen to be Brad Pitt would it?

Nope, my name is not Brad Pitt. I am just a sucker for these types of comedies.

Pretty mediocre IMHO. A little better than I expected given the reviews but nothing memorable. Like others have said, the best bits were the side performances by Hoffman and Baldwin. It seemed like it was a romantic comedy with gross-out bits just thrown in to get the funny, rather than something like "Mary" where the gross-out was part of the whole feel of the film. "Polly" just felt kinda slapped together.

Just saw it. It's not a bad romantic comedy, worth watching once. Nothing too deep and I have no desire to see it again, but if you liked something like 50 First Dates, you would like this one.

I just watched this on HBO and found it pretty funny (especially Phillip Seymour Hoffman). Hank Azaria had a funny role too.

I agree, P. S. Hoffman stole the show.
