I need more horror
I'm looking to expand my collection of horror movies. I'm not interested in the new crappy horror movies really, but the old ones along the lines of Exorcist and what not.
Anyway, so far I know I need to get The Omen and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Can anyone recommend some over true horror movies from back in the day. I haven't seen most because they tend to be before my time (before 1982.)
Is the Poltergeist or any of the sequels to any of these movies any good?

Check out Evil Dead series (not really too scary, but really funny and gross), Dawn Of The Dead is the best zombie movie of all time and Day Of The Dead (1985) is worth a viewing as well. Freddy vs Jason is coming out tomorrow and if you haven't seen it yet, it's worth getting. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is great, but the sequels (especially Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Next Generation suck).

You definitely must include The Beyond (d. Lucio Fulci) and The Haunting (the original, d. Robert Wise).

I know you said no modern movies, but they're not all bad, you know. Session 9 is a great, scary movie. 28 Days Later is another one I always recommend.

Wow thanks. Lots of stuff there. I forgot to mention a lot of what I have already I guess. Such as the evil dead series, Shining, signs, lambs, etc. Thanks for the suggestions!
