Reminder: Surreal Life - Season 2 Premiere - 01.11.04 - 9pm ET

I had completely forgotten about this, and I assume so had many others. Well, it's back tonight, 9pm ET on the Frog.

I will be giving this a shot. Interesting cast of characters, it seems.

Gah! There's too much in the 9 p.m. Sunday timeslot:

Alias
Sex And The City/Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrested Development
The Surreal Life

It's time to dust off the VCR...

They are also re-airing the pilot episode Monday night at 9pm.

I have Alias & Sex & the City/Arrested Development on my main DirecTivo. I am picking up Surreal Life upstairs on the other Tivo and I'm getting Curb Your Enthusiam later from HBOW.

This midseason, both Sundays and Wednesdays are pretty cramped.

Didn't even realise they were doing a second season (should have known better). Interesting cast... to say the least... which I did:

Traci Bingham
Trishelle Cannatella
Erik Estrada
Vanilla Ice
Ron Jeremy
Tammy Faye Messner

If Erik Estrada and Ron Jeremy are bunkmates, this is gonna be must-see-TV.

It was good. Tammy Faye is the most annoying one. "Maybe I can help you with all the hurt in your heart." I would have slapped her right there. Tracy was a bitch which was expected. I think I like Ron and Trishelle the most.

I disagree - Traci "I won't use that bathtub because I don't like the color of it" Bingham was the most annoying.

The real question is which one has slept with the most people?

There was nothing wrong with Tammy Faye. Unless you just hate religious people, she was very reasonable and kind (from the footage we saw). Yeah, she dropped one or two Christianisms, but she wasn't forcing herself on anyone, just talking with the group. I have to admit that I was very surprised with her. Watching Traci and Trishelle try to out-bitch one another should be interesting, and as expected Vanilla Ice (he deserves to be called that and nothing else) is an assclown.

I loved Trash-elle's "I don't think of myself as famous" speech. Don't worry, honey, neither do we, so you can spare us the fake modesty routine. Traci was such a prima donna it was scary. I half expected her to show up with 6 poodles and a few manservants. Welching on her bet like that was just low class. Erik Estrada and Ron Jeremy seemed pretty cool, but I guess that was expected. I miss Headcase Feldman; however, I suspect Vanilla Ice will provide enough of the clueless freakshow to make up for it.

I was laughing the whole time she got on the bus because the real "celebrities" didn't have the slightest clue who she was. Beside frrom the usual MTV watchers, I doubt many people in America know who she is.

Agreed! She had barely spent 10 minutes with the group before she was issuing demands.

I finally watched the premiere, and found it entertaining. It's a fun show for pop cultural junkies.

Ron's sausage comment to Tammy Faye was LOL funny.

Trashelle reminds me of a tall live-action anime girl (especially her eyes).

Ice Ice needs thousands of dollars more of therapy.

Traci is a beeyotch.

Erik is too cool for his own good.

Tammy surprises me in being able to roll with the punches.

yah traci was so over-the-top hollywood with her plastic pink pants and the big hair. and those doll heads! omfg.

vanilla is crazy and just hates everything and everyone.

tammy fay is very tolerant and too nice for her own good, i think.

ron jeremy is one horny but cool kat.

still undecided about mtv girl.

eric is the only level headed one in the house.

can't wait for the rest of the season....

I thought it was hilarious that for Ice Ice that if you couldn't microwave it, it wasn't fit to be bought for consumption (Jimmy Dean sausage). He's definitely in the "nuke-it and eat-it" crowd.

The common theme between this and the other Surreal Life (season 1): the person with the most prima-donna "I'm a celebrity!" attitude is the person I've never heard of (in this case, Traci Bingham).

What I thought was really funny was that when the celebs did the first few 'confessions', Trischelle was the only one who had a one word name on her graphic:

Tammy Faye
Erik Estrada
Ron Ice Ice
Tracy Bingham
Ron Jeremy
Trischelle

I thought that told a lot about her 'fame'.......

I was wondering how she can afford to live her supposed life style.

Other than Playboy and Baywatch, has she ever done anything to generate any Rich&Famous income.....?

I really like this show for some reason. I like the cast better last season, although I find ron jeremy a pretty nice guy, and tammy faye I thought was pretty good too... much to my suprise.

Look forward to watching the rest of the season, the teasers look pretty good.

I thought the show as great and I was so surprised at how much I actually liked Tammy Faye. I expected her to hold a bible in one hand and a mascara tube in the other, but she's really quite normal.

I had no idea who Traci Bingham was until the show and I wish I could say the same today. What a beotch! When she was wearing her pink plastic pants I kept thinking it would be funny to stick a pin in her ass and watch her float through the air like a balloon. Trashelle is going to be GREAT because she speaks her mind at the expense of others and there shoudl be some good conflict with Traci.

Ice Ice...what can I say! well what I can say is not suitable for DVDtalk so let's just say the man has eaten one too many jimmy dean sausages.

I agree with the general concensus. Tammy Faye is way more down to earth than I thought she would be. Trischelle is pretty cool. Like Ron and Eric. Vanilla Ice is a total @$$hole, and Traci still seems like a bitch to me.

spoilers from preview for upcoming eps

Spoiler:

It looks like someone will make both Trischelle and Tammy cry in upcoming eps. That pisses me off. I bet it's Ice that makes Tammy cry and Traci that makes Trischelle cry.

That's an understatement. Check out The Eyes of Tammy Faye sometime. Love 'er or hate 'er.

I agree on the timeslot. Worst ever.
