did I miss something? The preview made it look like Harm and Mac were going on a mission, but they didn't

Decent show. Good to see the Admiral get out a little. But what's the deal, was he really hurt (physically)? Yup, I agree, tough ending.
And just before the ending, I didn't get Harm standing in the door looking at the 3 girls. He gave the look like "nice family". But Cotes was there, so thought that was a little weird. But maybe I'm reading to much into it. It is JAG.

By the way...how is JAG doing in the ratings (I did a quick search and didn't find anything). I thought it would get lost being moved to Friday night. Or is this just Temp while NCIS gets on its feet?

I think it is doing pretty well; I think it is the highest rated Friday program. JAG skews to an older demographic and has a pretty loyal following (it originated on Fridays on CBS) so it shouldn't be a surprise that it is still going strong.
Can't believe the Professor cheated on the Admiral.
Gotta love Coates when the hair is down.

At 9 p.m., "JAG" gave CBS sole possession of first place with a 7.8/13. ABC moved up to second with "Hope & Faith," 5.9/10, and "Life with Bonnie," 5.3/9. NBC's move of "Ed" to Friday resulted in a 5.0/8. "Boston Public" averaged 3.2/5 for FOX.
