DDD and lost orders

Does anyone know how DDD responds to lost packages? My DVD order was shipped out on the 10Th of December and never arrived. The estimated arrival was between 12/17 and 12/22.

I've had that happen to me once or twice. Like 'class316' said, just give them a call, they will more than likely just send you another copy with no questions asked depending upon the shipping method in which they may try to track it somehow.

Not a good time to email . . . they're still dealing with post sale and holiday customer service traffic. As such, their email replies are a good bit slower. A phone call will be much faster.

Same here. Mine shipped on the 11th and I am still waiting for it. I tried calling like Nethead12, and get busy signal also.

Just received an email apologizing and another shipment for my missing DVD. Me thinks some DDD people read these forums. I'll update if and when I receive my disc.

I know how they responded to mine. According to DDD my 12/5 order shipped on 12/12. Still waiting for it. Repeated phone calls to them, and they just kept saying, "keep waiting, it can take 15 business days." However, after a month, and four phone calls, the last guy just reordered the entire order 1/13 and said he'd ship it USPS. I'm waiting for that one too.

Knock wood, I have ordered about 30-40 titles from them (minimum) with no problems so far (except for the understood delayed shipping-the opposite coasts thing doesn't help).

I'm glad to read that they handle things fairly well when something doesn't go right (for a modern company that is-try to get anything out of At&T you will know what I mean).

In my case I received all the DVD's I ordered with the 20% coupon at time, but last night when I opened the DVD Flirting I found the disc with a little cut in one side and my player can't play the movie, So I e-mailed them and I'm waiting for their response.
So I'm glad of reading they are handling all the problems well, it gave me hope.

Update: I never rec'd my lost order from 12/5; however, thanks to DDD CSR, Matt, I did receive my replacement order from 1/13 with expedited USPS priority shipping.

Twice I've had problems. I've probably placed about 100 orders with DDD. One dvd did not arrive within 3 weeks and they sent me another quickly (phone call to CSR). The 2nd incident was a dvd missing from a box of a 5-dvd order during their 20% sale. They responded to an email within 2 days and shipped a replacement 2-day UPS. No problemo.

Something inside me thinks they didn't actually send most of the orders that people claim are "lost". Some internal fubars.

I also have not received a disc from them that shipped on 12/15 (part of a 12/4 order). I've already received a disc that shipped on 1/8 (1/6 order), so I'm assuming that one is lost. I'll call them Monday.

I agree with you.

I had an order that showed in my order history but I never got tracking info.

I finally called them and they said that order number was in someone else's name and was for different DVDs. Couldn't explain what happened.

I just picked it up at Walmart.
