How did she get out??? I thought they didn't go through with the "deal" last season, or am I just forgetting?

Well, holy crap. For someone like me who doesn't read spoilers that was a pretty big surprise, although when they said there was another buyer I immediately knew who it was.

And the previews for next week... yikes.

That was a lame ending. Who really thought that Jack was going to get shot? Come on.

I'm getting sick of Jack and his "I can help you" speech. I'm rooting for Nina and her gang to win this season. I find her much more interesting.

I don't know how she got out. She wanted a full pardon (and to be able to kill Jack) for info. that led to the bomb. As far as I know she didn't get the pardon, or...?

Overall a good show tonight. So it's KIM that's inept (no way!) and not Tony. I guess his wife should've looked a little closer before rushing to judgment (nice wife, nice second in command).

I actually thought this one was pretty good. Although I am waiting for them to explain how Nina got out. And the Palmer situation...it's heating up but it's not there yet. We'll see on that.

I didn't expect the Tony/Kim thing, as I thought Tony was the one really losing it.

Yeah, that bothered me a bit, come on, Michelle, get a second opinion on something like this, especially if Kim comes to you.

I already read the Nina/auction thing on the other spoiler sites, but I promised myself I wouldn't read anymore.

Yeah, I actually was hoping they'd just shoot Jack and make the show interesting. But it'll be interesting to see how they will intercept the virus.

On to the Palmer thing. One word: YAWN. But at least Wayne's a better character than Sherry.

I thought that President Palmer said that he was going through with the pardon for Nina even after she held Jack hostage in S2. I figured she was free.

I'll have to check my DVDs.

Here, Here! Jack groveling for his life was sooooooooo pathetic and totally out of character! I can't believe Keifer agreed to film the scene that way!

That was kinda bizaare. I don't read spoilers but as soon as they said, "another buyer," it was quite obvious who it would be... Which I have a gripe about. Everyone loves Nina, I get it. But instead of using her over and over again, why not take the time to craft another character that the audience will love. Leave her out for a season that way we crave her return and it truly would be a surprise when she shows up. They couldn't just have made the buyer a nobody(turning them into another great baddie), because they have to have that 'oh shit' moment every episode, and a nobody wouldn't give the writers the satisfaction of the cliffhanger.

I think the Palmer plot is getting a lot better. Although Wayne is quite the hippocrite. Wasn't he just questioning Anne's morals the past few episodes? Tsk. Tsk. She's got nothing on him.

Kim might have been inept, but obviously Tony needs to take some lessons in communication. Sending some code to a program on her desktop thats more than likely buried under 5 other windows and just assuming she knows to look for it there is pretty bad way to do your job. Also, the fact that Tony ISNT screwing up makes the show slightly hokier...I mean, a few hours ago he had a bullet in his neck.

This episode was OK...the previews made it look like it could have been a lot worse. Maybe, just maybe, this Alan guy can make everything with Palmer interesting...maybe.

^^Good point, Michael. The return of Nina in season 2 was great. This one...it actually seems a bit out of place, though still interesting. We'll see how it plays out.

The other buyer should of been Sherry Palmer. That would of been more unexpected.

The other buyer should have been the winner of a Fox reality show, "Who wants to buy a deadly virus?" That would have been unexpected.

Tony should fire Kim.

I find the Nina addition sparkling fun. Jack and Nina truly love to hate each other.

Now the Wayne subplot is damn stupid at this point.

Yes, his statement was something along the lines of "we will honor the orignal pardon agreement".

Nice to see the Palmer story line finally get interesting.

The extra bidder should have been Kim's peg-legged boyfriend from last season, still bitter at her.

Seriously, It was fun to see the great Albert Hall turn up.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I am currently in the middle of season 2 with my wife. Palmer definitely honored the original pardon for information, not the second one about killing Jack. So I assume she was just set free.

Too bad Fox telegraphed the "big twist" in the promos they run during every single show on their network.

I just don't buy the fact that the guy was shot in the neck about 4-6 hours ago and is back at work. He was put under for the operation. In real life, he would probably be just waking up, not leading a command unit.

This season just doesn't measure up to the last 2.

If they don't start pulling some real surprises, this will be suckekeke. Jack is just too damn_lucky for the show's good. In seasons 1 and 2 you believed that anyone - even Bauer - could die at any given moment, but the writers have made it clear this season that Bauer is now a typical TV show hero, immune from any real personal consequences (at least any further consequences - the death of Jack's wife in season 1 was a great plot twist).

I don't know, when "El Gay" turned out to be a good guy that was a decent surprise.

It would have been, if we all weren't already rolling our eyes at yet another mole at CTU, and if the whole elaborate setup for Jack's undercover mission wasn't so stupid (how many "innocent" people dies during Jack and Salazar's jailbreak?)

I'm enjoying this season after a very slow start... but I think it's the weakest of the 3 so far.

A couple of questions:

1.) Has Albert Hall ever been mentioned before in earlier seasons? I don't remember him at all....

2.) Did anyone else find Nina to be looking hot in the long hair? When they first showed her I said, "Damn!! She looks good!!!"
