GC Component Cable Help

Just got a Widescreen TV for Christmas...and had to get the Component Cable for my Cube...I have some questions and would appreciate the help!

Are there any other games that are Progessive Scan enabled but don't say it on the box (like Mario Kart DD for example?)

Do all EA games that are Progessive Scan simply stretch to fit 16:9 like NFS: Underground (or am I doing something wrong)?

Any suggestions on great Progessive Scan games (already have Zelda, Metroid, Soul Calibur)?

Thanks!

i believe every First Party Nintendo Title is progressive Scan compatible. At least every one since 2002 anyway.

Most games for GC that I have seen are not 16:9, but they are mostly progressive. Just hold down B when you start the system up and it should ask you if you want to switch it. It even goes to progressive when I use my Gameboy Player.

Thanks for the help!
My T.V automatically stretches Proggesive Scan games to fit the screen...graphics are sharp...but the image is clearly stretched...

In Need for Speed Underground, it looks like I could get eight people in the backseat of my car....

tidwell, does your TV stretch pictures from your progressive scan DVD player to fit the screen?

Some TV manufacturers designed their sets so that when they receive a progressive scan signal, it automatically locks into widescreen mode. That can be a problem sometimes because not all progressive scan pictures are supposed to be widescreen, whereas all high-def pictures are. According to the ATSC standards, anyway.

That list is wrong. F-Zero GX has an in-game option to switch to widescreen mode.

Which is pretty sweet when traveling at 650 miles per hour.

Yep, that's true, I also used that option. *Gulp* ... don't shoot the messenger!
