Wait or Buy?

As you all know, Kill Bill Part 1 is coming out this Feb.3 Excellent film, cult-like possibilities, cheap(er) price. My question now is, should I hold off my drool/animal instinct until the box set for both part 1 and part 2 comes out (probably first quarter of 2005) or shoul I succumb to it. What are your thoughts and subsequent actions ?

Feb.3 is gonna break the bank for me...

Welcome to the forum! It's not coming out on February 3; it's been delayed.

Welcome to the forum!
Ty for the welcome. I'm been browsing the forum for almost half a year now. Can't believe it was my first post. I usually post at another site.

I didn't know that the release date was delayed. Do you happen to have a link, or at least a tentative date ? I couldn't find it on any of the usual dvd sites, including this.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 is said to possibly be coming out in April with a possible premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

No official word has been given as of yet on the release so it is obviously speculation.

I'm waiting for a 2-pack or an ULTIMATE edition. I'm of the belief that this film should have never been spliced into two, no matter what QT is saying now.

I agree...now. If the DVD came out on it's scheduled Feb. 3rd release date and then Vol. 2 came out the following Friday, I'd have thought it was a great idea. But if Volume 2 comes out before Volume 1, I'll be mad.

April 2004 is the best bet at this point. I'd wait unless doing so causes you to wet your pants in anticipation.

Yeah, I guess I didn't word that very well. I was just paraphrasing what the writer at joblo.com said. I think I posted this info in the thread spongebob just linked to.

I can say there's a 99% chance I'll get this when it comes out, then probably double dip for the box set if they make enough improvements.

Wait. It will be rough but I cannot afford to do any double dipping this year and the movie is incomplete unless you have both parts.

The DVD of Vol. 1 has been delayed indefinitely, probably due to a theatrical re-release at the time of Vol. 2's release.

Kill Bill Volume 2 will be in theatres on 20 February 2004 in the US and Canada.

I was just pointing out what joblo.com was reporting about the Vol. 2 release. Here is what he says...

"The planned February 20th release for the film is now appearing very unlikely. Word now is that Miramax is pushing the film back (what a surprise) until April with a possible premiere at the Cannes Film Festival."

I obviously don't know for certain either way. I was just pointing it out as maybe a reason we haven't heard much about Vol. 2 as of yet.
