NYE Concerts anyone?

anyone bringing in the new year at a show tonight?

i'll be at Psychedelic Breakfast, at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT... new year's was never that big of a deal to me before i started seeing phish.. but after NYE '97, i found out that NYE was pretty fun, and i've been to every NYE phish show since.. this will be the first one i'm missing (since pre-97), and after seeing last night's setlist, i'm hoping it's not a mistake..

no doubt PB will be a blast though.. a lot cheaper, and it's right in my backyard (not literally)...

NYE shows for anyone else?

Dammit, I wish I was in Miami...almost went but decided against it and sold the tickets I had. After looking at the setlists for the two previous nights (especially the 30th), I know I made a mistake. For anyone with a passing interest in Phish, here they are...

12/29/03 American Airlines Arena Miami, FL
I. Piper, Foam, Anything but Me, Limb x Limb, Wolfman's Brother, Poor Heart, Cavern
II. Rock & Roll>Twist>Boogie On Reggae Woman>Ghost>Free, The Divided Sky, Good Times Bad Times
E. Waste
E2. Squirming Coil

12/30/03 American Airlines Arena Miami, FL
I. Wilson>Sand>Shafty>NICU, Weigh, Cities, Strange Design, Scent of a Mule, Bathtub Gin, 2001
II. Tube>LA Woman>Birds of a Feather>LA Woman>Makisupa Policeman>Booty Ain't Nothing But a Butt Rap*>Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker)*>P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)*>Makisupa Policeman, Down With Disease
E. Contact, While My Guitar Gently Weeps
* w/ George Clinton and Parliament

Ah well, my decision has been made, I suppose. I was going to see the Strokes and the Kings of Leon at the Cox Pavilion and even thought about driving to LA to see Grandaddy and the Polyphonic Spree at the Wiltern. Instead, I'll just be attending a small party with about 15-20 friends. The good news...the party's less than 1/2 mile from my house...

Well, for one, word on the street is the arena was barely half full on Sunday night. Probably not much better Monday or Tuesday.

Secondly, why not Pittsburgh?

i don't doubt it... i couldn't sell my tickets for the first 2 nights at all.. tried selling them for $50 a pair SHIPPED, and no one wanted them...

same thing happened at albany in early december... had 2 extras that i just could NOT sell.. you would think with only 8 shows, there'd be demand...

I got $50 and a 1/4oz for my Albany extra outside the venue. Guess I was lucky!
