Bodyguard question--untagged spoilers, if you care
Yeah, I know it's not a very good movie. I caught it for free on Christmas Eve. Actually, saw it was on, decided to just watch it.
Missed the first half hour. Here's the question: Why didn't Whitney and Kevin Costner try and make it work at the end? They were clearly into each other, I'm not sure I understand why they didn't just try to have a relationship. Was it just because he wanted to go back to being a CIA agent, or something? If so, couldn't they just have some long distance thing?
Did I miss some character development that explains why he or she wouldn't be interested in that? Or did I miss something that showed they were fundamentally incompatible? Yes, I know, not a great movie, and maybe this is one of its weaknesses. I'm not sure what motivated these characters not to arrange something.
