Magic: The Gathering Online?
Ok, I'm not looking for pay-for-play comments, we've all heard them before, and we know how this works.
That aside, has anyone tried this or is anyone playing this right now? I've just d/l the trial version and I'll give it a shot this week. Playing Battlegrounds on Xbox has given me a hankering for some Magic -- after high school, it was always harder to find folks to play with conveniently and this looks to be a fun way.
Even with the cost, it looks as though it's not all virtual cash so to speak -- I was surprised to find on their site that you can actually cash out your online cards and have them send you the real thing in exchange. Very interesting.
Have there been any patches since release? Anyone heard about different issues with it?
thanks.

I played it till the beta test was over, had a great time too. Here's my main thoughts on the game.
Good Points:
No monthly fee.
Lots of people to play with. (At least there was when I played.)
Bad Points:
You need to buy a lot of cards to trade and be competitive.
Most people that you play will forefit the game if they start losing.
Multiplayer games (4 or more players) and Tournaments can take many hours.
Of course some aspects may have changed since I played.

I played it for a while. It was really fun, but really expensive as well. Unfortunately, there was no tiered tournaments for beginners, so one could sit down at their first tourney against a pro. Made it quite frustrating if you were just starting out.
