King Arthur Trailer

http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/kingarthur.html

My boy, Antoine Fuqua, returns with his retelling of King Arthur. Looks pretty cool. It has Clive Own, Ray Winstone ( my other boy ), Stellan Skarsgard, and Keira Knightley. It looks like LOTR, except not boring and overlong.

That's because it's a trailer, just you wait.

(though LotR was neither boring nor overlong)

Not sure if I should respond to the troll post.... but I will.

Looks interesting, and Keira looks hot. Not sure if the armor is right for 300 AD though.

Looks not as exciting and too short compared to LOTR too.

Looks good.

Lemmie guess the plot ... it'll be almost 3 hours long, opening with a war scene, followed by lots of drawn-out drama that leads to a battle where something bad happens exactly half-way through the movie that leads to more drawn-out drama that leads to a big war scene in the end where someone makes a sacrifice to save everyone so the good guys can win.

Not a flame or anything, it just seems that's how most "period war dramas" end up

Wow you can tell how long the movie is by watching a trailer? Nice trolling.

I'm not sold on Fuqua's abilities yet especially for something of this scale.

So much for Owen playing Lancelot and Knightley playing Guinevere. Lancelot's gonna have an affair w/ Guinevere, shagging her silly when Author storms in and neuters Lancelot.

I would have mentioned them, but I actually don't get to watch a lot of television (night classes), so I haven't seen much of these shows.

I didn't say it was going to be bad, I just think that it will be another run-of-the-mill Bruckheimer film where you check your brain at the door and prepare for a story that has been done to death millions of times before.

I had just hoped that a movie about the Arthur legend could have been a sweeping epic, and not just another action flick.

jeesh, calm down people

I'm curious to see what role the romans will play in this. Is this going to be a historical type remake close to First Knight or something that is based on le morte de artur?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the historical aspects don't look to accurate. The armor seems too modern for their time as well as a few other things.

Looks pretty good. I've been a fan of Clive Owen for a while, so it'll be good to see him in a big leading role like this. And it definitely doesn't hurt that Keira Knightley is in it. I'll certainly check it out when it comes out next summer.
