In regards to the DVD review of Young Sherlock Holmes at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=8809.
I have my Industrial Light and Magic book at home, but I'm fairly certain that this movie marks ILM's debut in the world of CGI (the stained glass knight), not Pixar's.
Unless they were one in the same at that point.

Pixar was indeed part of ILM until 1986, when Steve Jobs bought it for $10 million. But the CGI for the stained glass knight scene is specifically credited to "Pixar Animation Studios" in the end credits of Young Sherlock Holmes.

One of my favorite adventure films of the 80s, I was really looking forward to a DVD with a commentary, interviews, or isolated score. Instead, not a single extra to be found. I'm glad to finally have the film but the lack of extras had to be one of my biggest disappointments in 2003. This and not getting if... released as I expected.

Interesting. You learn something new every day.
One of my favorite films when I was growing up. It'd be nice if it got some decent extras, but I'm mostly glad to have it on DVD.
