Which show is this? 3 men walk through a huge desert
I remember I saw a documentary-type thing on TV in the summer of '00. I forget which channel it was on, but it wasn't on a popular station of anything. Maybe the travel channel, or history channel or something? Here was the premise--
Three people went on a race across a vast desert. The desert was so big, they basically walked the whole way on their respective planned routes. It took a few days as well. They each chose their route, and a camera crew followed them on their journey. During the show, we went back and forth between their adventures, and a narrator spoke. On the journey, they could only bring what they carried on their backs. The three people were the following-
*A german survivalist expert
*An american technology expert, who brought a lot of technology.
*An old native tribesman who brought absolutely nothing.
The three were also allowed one 'pitstop,' I remember the native man stopped at another native tribe, and (I believe) the survivalist expert stopped at a ranch and was given a fat steak and a bath.
At the end, it turned out that the american technology guy got to the end the fastest, but he stopped at the end of the race, and waited for the other two participants to come, so they all crossed the end together. Everyone was a winner.
It was an awesome viewing. Does it ring a bell for anyone? Could anyone provide some info?

Don't remember the title, but I think it was in Australia - one of the guys was an aborigine. It was at least a few years ago. Discovery Channel as well.
