the life of david gale?

how is that for a blind buy? im easily influenced by the backs of dvds that i often read in stores but i know they can make even a crappy movie sound good. i love surprise endings and they said they have one...

so should i get this?

no spoilers please!!!

Just rent it, you'll only want to watch it once due to the ending.

I don't even think this dud is worth a rental. TERRIBLE MOVIE. It really is too bad because it had such a good cast and good director behind it. Even with Kevin Spacey being one of my favorite actors, I still despise this movie. And the ending just peeved me more than anything. I agree with Roger Ebert when he gave this film 0 stars.

Worth a rental. There are some points I enjoyed reading in this thread (full of spoilers):

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=272761

And I still believe what I initially wrote (no spoilers):

There's no way I hated this movie. I liked Parker's smart-ass tone (that's what it came off as, to me at least). But there's really not much in the way of character, or any thematic feeling other than trying to twist emotions into a confused knot. [I can respect movies that do this]
