the O.C. - 12/17/03

"The Countdown", Episode #114.

As the midnight hour approaches, Ryan endeavors to reach Marissa in time for their first kiss of the new year.

Cast: Peter Gallagher, Benjamin McKenzie, Kelly Rowan, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton, Tate Donovan, Samaire Armstrong, Taylor Handley, Amanda Righetti.
Producer(s): Josh Schwartz, Doug Liman, McG, Dave Bartis, Bob DeLaurentis.

Damn, Kirsten's sister is awfully nice to look at.

The Russell Crowe references to Ryan were pretty funny.

"Three letter word for hilarious...Dad"

Some great lines and it's only half over.

I only caught the last 15 minutes, but, well, I guess Ana and Seth it is, but Summer still wants her man. I think Seth made the right choice.

Damn, I'd hate to be Seth in his unfortunate predicament.

Oliver is annoying.

Sandy continues to bring the funny to the house - you can tell where Seth gets some of his genes.

Kirsten's sister, Hayley, is sexy, gorgeous, yada, yada, yada...anybody know if that actress has been in anything before? I didn't recognize her.

I actually thought Mischa Barton ("Marissa") looked awesome tonight - the best she's looked since the show started.

Loved it when Seth told Sandy and Kirsten that Marissa told Ryan she loved him.

Sandy: What did you say?
Seth: Thank you.
Sandy: Well that was polite.

seth and anna , although i think i prefer summer, she just seems more fun.

But anna is the right choice for him, they can wallow in their geekdom and midnight screenings of princess bride.

Seth getting claustrophobic in the pool house

Lots of good stuff tonight. I loved the conversation between Seth, Ryan, Kirsten, and Sandy about Ryan saying thank you to Marissa.

Hopfully Oliver won't be around long.

Was this the first time Rachel Bilson, and I believe Melinda Clarke too, were in the opening?

Was it just me or do the females on the OC use more blush than the rest of the female population in the entire world?

Yeah, I always found her attractive before the OC, but between her fake accent, bad make-up, and bad hair, she's been getting less and less attractive until tonight.

I liked Oliver at first, but he was horrible tonight. What was with the, "That was polite" line. It was hilarious when Sandy said it and bombed big time when Oliver said it.

GREAT episode ... very funny lines from everyone all around. Ryan seemed to show more emotions in this episode than previously. Seth is such a funny character. I think I will definitely buy the DVDs when they come out. Thumbs up for this GREAT show.

This was a great episode, as always. Yeah, Haley is goregous...I hope she sticks around for a while. That girl that came to beat her up was also amazing. I would have liked to see a cat fight between the two of them. That would have been great

I liked this episode. Hooray for the retrun of the Seth triangle. Plus any episode where Seth calls Carson Daly a "Ginormous Tool" is an automatic thumbs up

Seth: Carson Daly and the ball drop. Those are words that should never go together.

Kirsten: Dick Clark and the ball drop. Those are words that should never go together.

Seth (at the pool party): Hey the ball drop isnt till midnight.

And all of you who bow down to Summer, BITE ME, the right PHAT woman won. You go ANNA.

another funny episode. Sandy and Seth have to have the greatest lines.

Oliver seems like a tool and I'm almost certain that Nathalie doesn't exist at all.

I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a cat fight at the new year's party.

Ew...Anna. Wrong choice. And there is nothing geeky about her, she's just as prissy as the rest of them. Love this show!

Another great episode. 2 episodes in 6 weeks sucks. Ive got a question, does anyone know who sings the song in the final part of the episode? The one thats playing while everyone's making out.

BTW - Anna is cutest girl on tv right now, bar none.

Anna. But I am getting a little tired of that "sexy" crooked smile and head wiggle (not sure what else to call it) that she's always doing.

Thats the best part, the little head-cock she does and the smile to boot. Anyways, anyone got a line on that song, I can't get the damn thing out of my head.

Claustrophobic Seth was definitely hilarious. When he was laying on the floor with the paper bag I couldn't stop laughing. I just love this show, although Oliver needs to go and QUICK.

I'm just saying she should ration it a bit. She does it in just about every shot of her.

I thought the GPS lady was hot!

There are two kinds of people in the world.

1. The kind that think Seth should choose Anna.
2. The kind that think Seth should choose Summer.

So is the O.C. turing into a comedy? I love this show and it seems to get funnier and funnier. I was laughing out loud so many times. I can't remember any other recent shows (except Scrubs) where I'm laughing every single week.
