I'm not surprised about the 8 million. The multiplex I went to in the suburbs of Chicago was playing it on 11 screens, ten of which were sold out. At least six of those theatres sat 400+.

I wonder if my $115 million prediction for the 5-day period was too low...

The 11:30am showing yesterday was sold out...and the night showings were already sold out...and I imagine from the crowds gathering when I came out that the other showings were gonna be sold out...their adding another screen this weekend!

I too will see it 2 more times before the end of the week!

yep, even in my somewhat small town the shows where sold out the day before. i was in line for 1.5 hours and was in the middle of the line. GREAT GREAT movie, worth every sent, and it will probably get a couple more ticket sales out of me

might be because you're in a small town that it was sold out.. how many screens was it playing on?

me, had 2 theaters by me w/ midnight showings, and both i think were pretty close to being sold out.

I managed tickets for last night, but the theater showing it here has it on three screens and they are all sold out until tomorrow afternoon last I heard.
