How long is A Link to the Past (GBA)?

IGN says 20-30 hours. Is that true? I just started playing it and want to know what I'm getting into. If it's really that long, I'll play it, but not right now.

This was the most disappointing Zelda in my opinion. When it came out anyway. It only took me a week to beat it. vs:

Zelda: 6 months
Zelda 2: 2 months
Ocarina of Time: a few months
Wind Waker: 3 months

To each his own I suppose.

This was an awesome game, but it only took me two and a half days to beat (I rented it). It's still one of my favorites, though. Slightly off topic, I still haven't beaten Majora's Mask...I got stuck at the ice palace and somehow lost the game cartridge!

I'm planning to get the Gamecube bundle with the Zelda disc, so I'll give it another shot.

It probably took me around 20 hours the first time years ago on the SNES.

There's some pretty tough puzzles and places you'll get stuck at for awhile.

If you use a guide, or gamefaqs.com, you'll beat it much quicker.

Thanks Josh. Twenty hours... I think I'll wait until exams are over until I start on this.

Finding all the heart pieces will take a long time without any maps, guides, or faqs. If you don't intend to gather every single obtainable items in the game, then it's probably doable in 20-30 hours (without guides).

4/16/03 - "Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" Completed in under 2-Hours
An unexpected accomplishment has been realized: history's first sub-2-hour completion of SNES' "Legend of Zelda:Link to the Past." Story goes that at least one leading Zelda web site used to advise players that a sub-2-hour game was not possible. But, now it has been done and the whole story has been prepared by Twin Galaxies Chief Referee Robert Mruczek

I know, I know, it's not the GBA version, close enough. Thought it would be good for a laugh though.

It'll take you about 40 hours in reality to finish it to completion. Personally, i find the gameplay so good i just get sidetracked a lot and end up just goofing around.

I distinctly remember getting everything in under a week with no guide or maps. Of course this would have been when I was younger and didn't have to work for a living. I was pissed that I spent all that allowance money and was done so quick.

So about 3 hours a day for a week sounds plausible.
