Looks like Cat In The Hat will have a hard time making its budget and marketing costs back. Too damn bad...

Oh don't worry. DVDs save their ass, and this one (like any kids movie) will sell pretty well when its released. They'll easily make back their money (and don't forget ALL the tie-ins)

Brother Bear made $80 mil. I guess this was a moderate success for Disney. Maybe 2-D has a chance after all.

I think mainly the previews may not appeal to the over 50 crowd like most war-related movies would.

It doesn't involve some big U.S. war or anything.

I think it took in $19 million in Japan in three days though.

The National Board of Review ranked LS second after Mystic River for Best Picture.

They award Ed Zwick Best Director for the film.

Its too bad Master and Commander isnt doing better. That was one of my 10 favorite films this year so far.
