C.S.I. - 12/11/03 - "Grissom Vs. The Volcano"

Surprised there wasn't already a thread about this episode. I just around to watching it. Not a bad episode, but the ending seemed to have a mistake.

Spoiler:
How did the first wife build the bomb with with the pliers? After all, he took the pliers from the first wife over to the second wife's house, and he said he forgot to bring them back. Unless of course, she made the bomb before that, but they gave the impression that she decided to make the bomb after having built the first volcano (she said building a bomb wasn't harder than building a volcano.). He got the idea to make the volcano for his second family after watching her build it. So I was confused about the timeline since he took the pliers over to his other family.

maybe he took the other ingredients over then realized he needed pliers and got them a few days later?

There were two different sets of pliers weren't there?

I thought when they first searched wife #1's premises they said the pliers were missing from the tool kit. And then when they found wife #2, they found the pliers there. The husband said that he borrowed them from wife #1 and forgot to return them and that's when the CSIs figured out who did it-- which was what confused me.

They found the second pair of pliers in the glove box of wife #1's car. Presumably a new pair as the old pair were still at wife #2's house.

What I want to know is what kind of nasty ass window cleaner was that?

Decent episode this week. Was glad to have a new episode after a couple weeks of re-runs.

I assumed since the first pair of pliers were relocated, she bought a new pair of pliers, which didn't match any plier "prints" at the first wife's house.

Overall just an average episode. I really have no clue why this show gets the highest ratings every week. I mean I usually watch it much its not a must see. Anyone else sick of the "bad guy" confessing when they get caught and explaining any little detail that the CSI's might have missed?
