Hello,

I'm a big time noob to the HTS. I am thinking about starting off with just a simple fairly cheap system to get me started. When I see the systems with the receivers and subwoofer etc. I also see the smaller littel speakers that you set around the room for best audio. Are these wireless? or do all the speakers in most of today's lower end systems have wires and jacks that I'm going to have to spread out through the room. I really don't want a bunch of wires going all over the place.

Yes they come with wires you have to connect from the speakers to the receiver. There are wireless speakers I believe but they are expensive and no cheap system will come with them. It is a pain to lay the wiring out but there is really no way to get around it.

yeah all systems come with speakers with wires, even higher end sepeartes(sp?) have wires, just run them under the carpet and then paint them the color of the wall. Very simple.

Not if you have hardwood floors.

You can run them under or behind the toe/shoe moulding...............

Or use wire tape along the walls. Practically invisible.
