Restaurant Empire looks like an interesting game and I'm thinking of picking it up if I can find it cheap. Anyone ever play it? If so, your thoughts?

I tried the demo. Interesting concept, but I found the interface extremely awkward.

I know nothing about the game, but if you get the chance, buy pizza tycoon. Awesome game.

I have Restaurant Empire and it's not bad. I would say the replay value is low. The campaign is good but sandbox mode leaves a lot to be desired. You are given every recipe in sandbox mode whereas in campaign you are given a few and must learn the rest. Learning recipes and getting better incredients made campaign mode more enjoyable and to not have them in sandbox mode blows.

I also recommend Pizza Tycoon, now if only I could get it to work on XP.

I also tried the demo - it's pretty decent if you like that sort of game. The demo controls were a bit cumbersome, but I understand they addressed that a bit in the full version. It's worth picking up around 10 bucks for sure.
