I noticed last week that Josh Malina was executive producing this thing which explains the cavalcade of Sorkinites, but I didn't expect to see him on camera too. Shoe money tonight!

Boy Sheen really wanted to get out of there huh? That show is really really awful when the people don't know how to play.

Missed this last night, I'll catch the rerun.

Was it even worth watching the rerun? Doesn't sound like anyone here liked it.
Josh Malina was on Loveline last night to plug the poker show. Seems like an odd choice considering most of the callers on that show are in high school and most likely don't have any interest in The West Wing or West Wingers playing poker.

It was moderately entertaining I guess if you're interested in seeing some of The West Wing's cast in another element, but it's pretty far from good poker play.
I wonder how long Sheen was sitting in the Loser's Room. He looked like he had given up on life and was ready to die on that couch.

It'd be nice if all the players had some clue as to how to play the frikkin' game of No Limit Holdem poker.
Hopefully next week's show will at least be funny since comedians/funny folks are in da house.

Yeah, not exactly the skill level of the final table of the WPT, but what do you expect?
As for Pollak, as long as he keeps his jokes contained to the lounge area, that's fine. I don't need my ribs tickled during commentary. His Shatner does crack me up every time though.
Honk!

Well, this one was a little entertaining to watch, but painful if you’ve ever run across any of their types at a table (real or internet). After last week, the only reason I tuned in is the players. Now that Schiff has made the final table, I guess I’m stuck for the season, such as it is.
Please, please, put this concept in a drawer and never open that drawer again.

This is at least the second time the concept has been pulled out of the drawer. Comedy Central did it years ago when it got a bunch of comedians together(Robert Wuhl was there and I think Kevin Pollack, too) and had them play poker for an hour. It was some of the funniest stuff I've seen. At one point, one of the comedians broke into a Harry Carey impression which even out of context still makes me laugh when I think about it. "Hey! Check out the kid in the sombrero!".
Celebrity poker completly depends on the personalities of the celebrities.
