It is chopped to hell on TV but this release pattern is commercial suicide. It's too bad because I was planning a Cinema Gotham story on this before the theatrical opening. I may still do it but Comedy Central's insane release plan is screwing it all up. Still, the non-Andy Dick portions are very funny, at least to a NY jew like me.

Yeah, The only times I can remember that happening before were Red Rock West and the Last Seduction premiering on HBO.

By having that release schedule, it disallows it from getting Oscar consideration!

"Shabbat Shalom Motherf*****s"

I didn't even realize that was Mario Van Peebles at first. I think it's safe to say his career is just about over.

I wish I could say this was funny throughout, but I had to settle for only a few substantial laugh-out-loud moments. I wish they had gone less down the Austin Powers route and more along the I'm Gonna Git You Sucka path.

The bleeping and pan-and-scamming (I think) really hurt the presentation. Goldberg and Van Peebles (and...Peter Coyote!?!?!) were all good though. Oh, and what's up with Bad Santa's Tony Cox in this too? Is he making a career out of foul-mouthed North Pole elves?

Probably a stupid question, given the nature of Comedy Central, but are they repeating it?
