Not here. Our weekly discussion of every episode is just a way for us to express our hatred of the show.

Go ahead. Ask you question. I know Bart and Homer personally. Springfield is only a block away from my house.

The only funny English joke I remember from the show is as follows:

"Me fail english? That's unpossible!"

You see, Pelayu, this is a funny joke because of irony. Ralph Wiggum is aghast at the notion of his failure to pass his english class but validated his failing grade through his inability to grasp his command of the language by constructing a grammatically incorrect interjection.

Instead properly saying "I failed English? That's impossible!" He incorrectly uses the pronoun "me," uses the wrong tense of "to fail" and creates his own word of "unpossible." Surely he cannot pass english if he cannot use it in an everyday application, and his inability to see his inability is funny.

Hence the irony, and the mark of a classic Simpsons joke.

What're you talking about? 'Unpossible' is a perfectly cromulent word.

well, what a flame you've got here

well, here I go.

Party hardy was tardy. it was said by Ottoman What did he mean though?

Right across the plate in baseball means a pitch sent through? right?

Homer was a A supervisor who cared too much...cared too much about what?

Beer Duff and police chief Wiggum ..do these words mean something or they are just a trade mark and a name respectively?

In City Hall the councilman says: Coffe and maple log in the lobby... ??? What?

Thx

P.S. if somesoby has some "loaftime", please don't hesitate to lend me a hand

1. don't know. i would need context

2. yes, it means a strike. the ball was thrown across the plate.

3. again, context.

4. as far as i know, they are just names.

5. context is your friend

Without context, Party hardy is a way of saying Party hard (or party a lot). So, maybe Otto was saying the partying began too late? Yeah, without context it's difficult to say.

and for #5, it sounds like there is coffee and maple logs in the lobby. Not sure what the question is. Are you asking what a maple log is?

I always thought "party hardy" meant party hearty, ie party heartily.
