I had totally forgotten about this movie and found it by accident on IMDB.

I remember that I liked it waaaay back then so I bought it during the DDD coupon sale. I fear that it won't have the same lustre that it did back in the mid 80's though!

Kim Richards was a hottie! Trivia, she's Paris & Nicky Hiltons aunt! :o

Ah, the 80's what a great time for teen films! :)

I actually saw this in the theater! :o Back in the 80's, I used to go to the movies a lot more than I do now. I'm actually tempted to pick it up, for nostalgia's sake.

I re-discovered Tuff Turf a few months ago when I found it on DDD. I had seen it on videotape when it came out in the mid 80's and enjoyed watching it again recently. It's a little dated but still very enjoyable. It reminded me to look for a couple of other Spader flicks I saw back then: Jack's Back and The New Kids which I don't think are out on DVD yet.

Early Spader, great fun - I'll have to add it to my DDD wishlist for the next coupon sale (think positive).

Yes, definitely remember it an Kim's heavily crimped hair. Also, one of Robert Downey Jr.'s earlier works.

Plus, any movie that features a Jim Carroll cameo gets a  from me.

Very true. It's still a fun/cheesy 80s film. It was cool to see Kim Richards play a tough chick after all her Disney roles.

I remember it quite well. Probably watched this movie a dozen or so times as a kid.

I went to see it at the movies for Kim Richards. Goody two shoes babe on TV and a cute kid in the Escape from Witch Mountain movies. Then a tough girl in this one.

Wasn't there some hot sex in this movie?

You can have Kim Richards, just give me Olivia Barash. Yum.

When I was in college in L.A. back in the 1980s, Olivia Barash was at a party I went to. She was really cool. :)

I used to watch this movie back in the 80s almost religously! Great little indie flick and both JS and RDJr are great in it.
