I'm trying to listen to a new cd on my computer and I can't get to the songs because the website homepage or something like that comes up. Any help?

I tried that. When exactly do you hold it down? I tried it when it was loading and that didn't work either.

Just shut off Auto Play for music CD (can also do that w/ data CD) . Do properties for the optical drive, Auto Play, select Music CD from the drop down list, and select Take No Action. Do the samething for Mixed content.

And if you set autoplay off before hand, you don't ever have to hold the shift key again.

I guess maybe it would help if you posted which CD you're trying to play so we can better determine how to help. There could be a form of copy protection skunking up the works.
