So Madden is Game of the Year, but not Best Sports Game? That's like a movie winning all sorts of Oscars but not getting Best Picture IMO.

And who would have thought that Enter the Matrix would win an award for anything.

Ah well, I'll probably still watch, although given a lot of these winners I'm not quite as eager about it as I once was...

How can a yaer old Xbox game that just came out on PC be the best PC game? And if Soul Caliber 2 is the most adictive why isn't it the best fighting game?
How judged this thing? Was it actually people who play games, like magazine writers or something.

This sounds about as good as the G4 awards. Tony Hawk Underground!? Shouldn't the best game based on a movie be The Two Towers? ... That whole list hurts my head.

Splinter Cell the best handheld game? Try telling that to all of us who own Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Actually, anyone could vote on these through the webpage. I think the voting lasted through Monday. I voted, and there were some decent nominations for each category. Around 20 for each category. I guess that partially explains the weird results.

Yeah I know, my fault. I asked for mods to add it to the title, but I was too slow. Sorry about that.

This list is comical - I lost all respect for the awards after I saw the winners.

Those are some horrible choices, but to be fair, those are all what the voters decided. A few weeks ago they had a poll up for all of those categories asking what people thought. So if you think the list sucks, blame the public for voting for those choices.

ahahahahah! This is great! Yet disturbing at the same time.

What a joke, this is just one big advertisement funded award show. Hmmm wonder who will win?

They've actually been having a video game show weekly on Saturdays sometime. Its just a bunch of people dancing around in neon lights, drinking cocktails, with a DJ, they show game footage sometimes.

The worst part about this show is that to the casual gamer or people who don't game at all, this show represents all of you and myself. The gamers. That part ticks me off the most lol, but i can't help but laugh for some reason . I've got finals coming up but I might try to catch some of it during a break just for the laugh.

When I went to the site I only saw 3 or 4 nominations for each category and most of them made no sense whatsoever compared to all the games I know that've come out this year -- still voted though ;p
