Any games like Fallout/Fallout 2?

Fallout 3 just doesn't seem as interesting to me, probably because it's squad based.

I prefer the lone hero(because I'm a loner myself, I guess).

Anyway, Fallout, and Fallout 2 are my all time favourite PC games. There's gotta be others like them.

This is where you come in. Can you recommend some PC games like Fallout?

Well I'd recommend Fallout 3, if it was out, that is. Sounds like you're talking about Fallout Tactics. If you like Fallout and Fallout 2, try Planescape Torment.

BTW, Fallout 2 is the best ever. That is all

Some similar games from some of the same people who brought you Fallout:

Arcanum (Steampunk)
The Temple of Elemental Evil (D&D)

Planescape: Torment... an RPG in which dialogue and character interaction is just as important, if not more important, as hacking-and-slashing. And you can probably find it bargain-priced online or in stores... $10 or so.

You could also go old skool and play the game that inspired the Fallout series: Wasteland.

no game has really come cloes to the fallout fight system (which was supposed to be based on Peter Jacksons GURPS, but he backed out last minute so the made their own), but there are many with decent Role playing experience.

I've tried most of the ones mentioned. They're ok, but not as good as Fallout or especially Fallout 2.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.

Great game in its day.

JAGGED ALLIANCE 2.

You must try it, because IMO it is even *better* than Fallout!

Jagged Alliance series are turn-based squad tactical strategy games, while Fallout and other games mentioned are RPGs.

Jagged Alliance 2 have enough of an RPG element to qualify it. Plus, both games are, IMO, decidedly close in feel. Both Fallout and JAII are great games.

There's a polish developer making a post-nuclear RPG codenamed Trinity.

This thread in the Interplay messageboard talks about it. They have a website for the game, but unfortunately it's in Polish.

There was another game in a similar vein being made as well by another small developer, but I can't seem to remember what it is.

Otherwise you'll have to wait for Fallout 3, which is currently in production.

The upcoming ultra FPS exploration game "Stalker: Oblivion Lost" is in a similar setting.
