with all of the backlash of this film, and as one of the worst films of all time (according to critics and fans) i kind of actually want to see it to see if its that bad.

I say rent it. I haven't seen it, so I can't attest to its quality or lack thereof, but the unreal amount of gleeful negativity stemmed from other things besides the movie. People love to build up idols, but love tearing them down even more.

Honk!

I did see Battlefield Earth on rental, and it was worse than I ever could have expected. But having said that, it was still fun to watch the worst movie ever, just to say you have. haha! I am going to watch Swept Away and Gigli eventually. Bad publicity is better than no publicity

I know I'll probably be renting this just to see what all the fuss was about.

If you wait long enough, you could probably buy it for $4.

Go ahead and rent it, the movie is not that bad. It's certainly not a great movie but it wasn't deserving of the absolute trashing it received.

Don't want to waste $4, wait for cable.

I myself will be avoiding it at all costs.

Demand Blockbuster/Hollywood Video (or whereever you're getting it from) to PAY YOU to watch it. If you actually pay to see this then I'm concerned for your mental health.

I saw this movie a few weeks ago, one day after seeing Elf. Elf is worse, but it gets a free pass because it happens to be a "Christmas" movie, meaning it's awful and stupid but good-natured. Anyways, Gigli wasn't that bad. There were a couple good laughs, rent it.

with all the good movies i'm sure you've never seen, and all the other things you can do with 2 hours, why would you waste it? By the way, Lopez doesn't show anything does she?

There is a little camel toe exercise shot by J-Lo. I would watch this for Affleck's "original gangsta" rant-too damn funny (and not in a good way).

I haven't seen any more than a few minutes of Battlefield Earth on cable, but I know Swept Away was so awful I had to scour my eyes with bleach afterwards.
