wow! That's nice. Not sure if I want to buy it again though even though I thought it was a great film.

Time to ditch the r1...

I'd like a dts critique first, though.

beautiful packaging for a very under-rated film (i'm sure many here would agree). thanks for posting this... i was just thinking about purchasing the domestic release from columbia house.

too bad there aren'tany deleted scenes (if any) added to the spec's. still very nice!

Don't mind double-dippin this title, but I would definitely like to see a review of the DTS audio.

the DTS in the Japanese version (oddly renamed "Rebellion") was sweet. in fact, i thought the regular 5.1 sounded bad on a 5.1 system. DTS is the way to go for this movie

Do you know if it was a full-bitrate DTS track?

just ordered it tonight along with Samurai Fiction $9 and 2009 Lost Memories 2D $13!!!

pretty good prices if you hunt around and buy in bulk. not sure how long it will take to get to me (i'm in florida), but i can't wait! i'll probably have to cancel Samurai Fiction thru DDD, its back ordered anyway. the korean disc is still a couple bucks cheaper even with postage added versus DDD's price plus 20% off coupon.

Cool thanx. What are the extras on this sucker? More than what was on the US release? Or same stuff just nicer package?

coparing the specs between amazon and koreandvd websites...dts seems to be the main thing going for it. and the nice packaging of course. its hard to say what else could be on the korean disc. probably not much in the way of extras because of the dts but that's a strong selling point for me. should be getting it soon. i'll let you know what else is on it when it comes in...

Agreed. I’d rate it somewhere well south of abysmal. The only fun to be had is spotting the staggering number of other sci-fi sources it rips off wholesale.

Terrible, terrible, terrible movie.

If I placed an order through Yesasia; would it be coming out of California? I live nearby and was wondering if they carry their stock there or will it be sent from Korea?

Since it has Ships within 1-2 Days, I would assume it would be coming out of California.

Infernal Affairs II had the same description and I received it within less than a week.

ok, cirrus888 you stop teasing the rest of us here...

i really want to get this set...

just wondering about the transfer (picture/sound) compare with R1

the movie reminds me allot of Starship Troopers... so called bad acting with lots of "wanna be cool" scene
very entertaining

just came in yesterday from koreandvds.com..but it got a little dinged up on the way from korea. packaging is very nice. i was hoping that the case would be made of tin since that's how it appears in the pictures. that's ok though.
i took several minutes to give it a run-through. keep in mind that i'm not a professional reviewer/writer. the picture quality looks sharp with colors looking fairly accurate. the blacks are deep and mid-tones (which are abundant in fitting with the sceme of the film)are clean without a hint of murkiness.
unfortunately, my dts receiver is not hooked up and running so i cannot fairly assess sound quality. however, the stereo sound is acceptable through my tv's speakers (sony wega).
as far as supplemental material, it appears to contain all the same extras as the r1 release.
since i've only rented the r1, i can't fairly say how the two compare. i'm hoping someone else can provide that info as i am curious to know.
not bad for 'the worst sci-fi film of the last 20 years'! if you're familiar with this movie or possibly a fan, this disc is definitely worth it!

It's funny how they made such elaborate fold-out packaging for what is still a one-disc set.
