R2J Dawson's Creek 1st Season

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000AIRN2

The box looks pretty much the same as R1 version so I would not expect a different aspect ratio. Sigh...

However, WOWOW should be broadcasting DC in 1080i so Japanese people should be watching the show in widescreen, right?

It will be well worth the 2x price if they were releasing WS DVDs in Japan.

Dawson's Creek picture cmoparison

Since the region 2 and 4 versions of "Dawson's Creek" season one are on 4 discs and the region 1 version is only on 3 discs, does anyone have a picture quality comparison? I've read reviews that say the region 1 version sucks because of the way it was compressed onto 3 discs. Just wondering if the region 2 or 4 version is any better.

Screw that:

DISC1: 176min
DISC2: 217min
DISC3: 174min

Another 4:3 FS release with 3 DVDs. What are they smoking?
